THE WEST COUNTY WANDERER               

A VARIATION ON THE CLASSIC NEGRONI  

 

1 OUNCE BARREL-AGED GIN (WE PREFER RUSSELL HENRY DARK GIN)

1 OUNCE AMARO BILARO

1 OUNCE APEROL

2 DASHES FEE BROTHERS ORANGE BITTERS

COMBINE INGREDIENTS IN A MIXING GLASS FULL OF ICE, STIR WELL UNTIL CHILLED.  STRAIN INTO A CHILLED COUPE GLASS.  GARNISH WITH A SLICE OF orange or, if in season, a slice of PERSIMMON.


Bilaro Bloody

Our twist on that old favorite, the Bloody Mary

 

1 ½ ounce blanco tequila

¾ ounce Amaro Bilaro

2 dashes Scrappy’s Celery Bitters

Your favorite Bloody Mary mix

a couple generous dashes of worcestershire sauce

Heaping bar spoon of prepared horseradish

Combine ingredients in mixing glass full of ice; shake well.  Strain into pint glass full of ice.  Garnish with a stalk of celery, some olives, and a lemon slice.

1 ½ ounces Sloe Gin (we prefer Spirit Works, to keep that West County mojo working)

½ ounce Amaro Bilaro

½ ounce lime juice

½ ounce honey syrup

2 dashes Angostura bitters

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.  Shake vigorously and strain into chilled coupe glass.  Garnish with a lime wheel


Bilaro Daiquiri

Bilaro Daiquiri

a bitter take on the classic Daiquiri

 

1 ½ ounces Banks 5 Island Rum

½ Ounce amaro bilaro

1/3 ounce fruitlab orange organic liqueur

1 ounce lime juice

½ ounce simple syrup

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.  Shake well, strain into a chilled coupe glass.  Garnish with a lime wheel.
